Have you looked at relationship between the prevalence of homelessness and mental illness?

A 2015 study by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development found that 564,708 people are homeless on any given night in the United States. Of this group, 45% of these people had any mental illness. At of minimum, 25% of this group had been diagnosed with a serious mental illness.

"... Researchers agree that the connection between homelessness and mental illness is a complicated, two-way relationship. An individual’s mental illness may lead to cognitive and behavioral problems that make it difficult to earn a stable income or to carry out daily activities in ways that encourage stable housing."
